UPS dance groups participated in a university dance night

The fifth edition of the festival entitled "Joven Danza" took place last May 8th in the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) coliseum. UPS was represented by its Urban dance group, and Contemporary dance and ball room dancing groups. They performed choreographies led by coordinator and teacher, Johanna Franco.

This event was organized by the PUCE Culture Coordination department to promote dancing activities and union among Ecuadorian universities. The show began at 7pm with dance groups from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial and Universidad Politécnica Salesiana.

Escuela Politécnica Nacional, Escuela Politécnica del Ejército, ESPE- extensión Latacunga, Universidad de las Américas, Universidad Central del Ecuador, Escuela Politécnica del Litoral, Universidad Estatal Amazónica, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and PUCE – Esmeraldas, also attended. The groups danced to capoeira, tropical music, Spanish music, and street dance.
