Course: Indigenous People, Human Rights and International Cooperation

The Fund for the Development of Indigenous People in Latin America and the Caribbean (FILAC for its acronym in Spanish), the Education for Equity Program and its flagship program of the Intercultural Indigenous University (Universidad Indígena Intercultural (UII), along with the Institute of International and European Studies "Francisco de Vitoria" from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, are currently offering 30 scholarships to attend the 15th Edition of the Expert Degree in Indigenous People, Human Rights and International Cooperation (15ª Edición del Título Experto en Pueblos Indígenas, Derechos Humanos y Cooperación Internacional).

The Expert Degree in Indigenous Peoples, Human Rights and International Cooperation seeks to provide participants with training of high curricular value so that they can assume responsibilities and leadership roles in the design and creation of local and national public policies, as well as to generate incidence in the global processes of the protection of Indigenous People’s rights.

The course addresses the management of processes of the main mechanisms for the protection of Indigenous People’s rights, and provides tools to learn about the mechanisms and instruments of International Cooperation for development in the region, all analyzed in the new post-pandemic context which requires immediate responses adapted to the new scenarios that are now being experienced globally and that will remain in the long term.

The course will be online through Universidad Carlos III de Madrid’s platform. It starts on May 10th and ends on July 16th.
