Social networks, an opportunity for new ventures

The communication undergraduate program in our branch campus in Guayaquil organized its annual event titled "Alumni back to the classroom" through a webinar on digital communication, entrepreneurship in social networks". The aim was to provide information about the use of new strategies in social networks which help create new ventures.

The "Alumni back to the classroom" event is organized by the community engagement department and its aim is to have former students share their experiences with current students. The invited alumni to this year's event was Jefferson Almache, CEO of "Crear Impacto". He spoke about the new tendencies in the digital market.

"The Communication undergraduate program wants you to continue learning, growing and having professional development. With the academic follow-up program, Alumni to the Classroom, we can once again welcome those who have been part of our university, to share their expertise in the workplace", said Marlene Magaly Mosquera González, director of the Communication undergraduate program.

During the webinar, Jefferson Almache shared useful information such as: "How to get away from our comfort zone and lose our fear of digital entrepreneurship", "How to make the internet a potential and profitable business", "How to monetize our Social Networks", "Who we should work with in order to achieve effective results in a short time".

"To attract people to a commercial campaign, you must create three sets of ads depending on the target audience you want to reach, the result will depend not only on the content, but also on the economic investment that is allocated to the campaign", stated Almache.

"Communication is a very broad career that has several work options; due to the pandemic the current market is applying social media ventures, which integrate communication in the field of digital marketing", said Mosquera.
