In order to fulfil its commitment with science and education, the university's Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem has held several webinars since the beginning of the pandemic in order to support the education of students and professionals.

So far, there have been 25 webinars with the participation national and international speakers who have shared their experience and knowledge with participants. The topics have been related to mechanics, mechatronics, biomedicine, robotics, energy, accounting, manufacturing, environment, health and social sciences. 

The work carried out by research groups in the university's campuses in Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil made all the events possible. Around 6000 people from different countries joined the webinars through zoom and 625 people joined through Facebook Live. The first webinar was held on May 25th; participants are pleased with having the opportunity to disseminate knowledge that will help improve processes of virtual education.   

The following research groups were part of the organization: El Grupo de Investigación en Ciencias Ambientales (GRICAM); El Grupo de Investigación en Ingeniería del Transporte (GIIT); El Grupo de Investigación Ambiental para el Desarrollo Sustentable (GIADES); El Grupo de Investigación Socio, Económica y Empresarial (GISEE); El Grupo de Investigación en Biotecnología y Ambiente (INBIAM); El Grupo de Investigación y Valoración de la Biodiversidad (GIVABI); El Grupo de Investigación en Nuevos Materiales y Procesos de Transformación (GiMaT); El Grupo de Investigación en Ingeniería Biomédica (GIIB); El Grupo de Investigación en Energía (GIE); El Grupo de Investigación sobre Niñez, Adolescencia y Juventud (CINAJ); El Grupo de Investigación Financieras y Contables Aplicadas (GIFCA) y El Grupo de Investigación y desarrollo en Simulación Optimización and Toma de Decisiones (GIDSTD). 

It is also worth highlighting the work carried out by the Coworking StartUPS office which created StartTalks in order to provide entrepreneurs an opportunity to learn about interesting issues, strengthen ideas and projects.
