Graduation ceremony in Guayaquil

Our branch campus in Guayaquil held a graduation ceremony for 407 undergraduate students who majored in industrial, electronics, electrical and computer engineering, communication, accounting and business administration, and 38 postgraduate students of special education and business administration. 

The ceremonies were held throughout nine days under strict biosecurity measures. UPS president Juan Cardenas, the vice president of our branch campus in Guayaquil Raul Alvarez, the head of postgraduate programs Diego Peñaloza, the academic coordinator Jaime Zapata, directors and coordinators attended the ceremony.

 "You are a new generation of leaders educated by UPS, science and knowledge is created cooperatively in order to help society. Dear graduates, your academic programs have ended today, but it is not the end of your education. We encourage you continue studying and fighting to reach your dreams" stated UPS president Juan Cardenas. 

Lisbeth Niola, electronics engineering student with the highest grade point average, said: "Life is transitory, working hard is good, but there should always be a balance between our personal and professional life, nothing is more important than spending time with our loved ones. It's been a long journey, but we got here".

Rocío Zambrano, who had the best average of the Master's in Special Education, said: "Thank you for so much, this is the result of many hours of study, great efforts and the constant desire to improve, we are satisfied with everything we have learned, UPS has always been characterized by its excellence in quality and warmth, always attached to values and curricular and social innovation; they have forged professionals capable of responding assertively to current social needs, leaving behind all kinds of barriers ".

"Today is a very special day, you feel eager to smile and share your joy of having achieved this long-awaited goal in which you have invested great sacrifice and effort. Undoubtedly the pandemic has been a great obstacle for everyone, but you have proven to be brave, using your capacities to obtain your degrees, today you know that nothing is going to stop you because you are clear about where you want to go. Here we have heroes and heroines whose stories are worthy of admiration. This new academic achievement will guide you towards professional practice, opening new opportunities, because you are leaders capable of changing the reality of our country", stated Álvarez.
