40 professionals from the Ministry of Public Health are now working in our branch campus in Guayaquil on the vaccination process against Covid 19.

Dr. Lilian Gadme, coordinator of this process, explained that for the first phase of this vaccination process they will first vaccinate people from 80 to 90 years old who were previously registered. "We were here at UPS last week to vaccinate the first doses to 940 elderly people and it was done in a very orderly manner", said Dr. Gadme, who also thanked the university for the use of its facilities and support.

Mrs. Ana Rodríguez, one of the older adults who received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, stated it was fantastic to have been vaccinated. "My husband and I are very happy and we have no complaints, because we have already been waiting a long time for the vaccine and now we are very grateful ".

Ana Rodriguez's husband, Firiall Myghell, was happy about getting the vaccine and stated: "I am very happy to have been vaccinated and grateful to all the people in charge of carrying out the process for the excellent job of saving lives. "

"UPS administrative and service personnel are actively collaborating in the vaccination process, providing the university facilities, physical spaces, air-conditioned classrooms, chairs and office supplies, etc., so that everything carried out normally", said Raúl Álvarez Guale, vice president of our branch campus in  Guayaquil.
