Cultural Wednesday program: The symphony orchestra

The symphony orchestra presented a great show in our branch campus in Guayaquil during the Cultural Wednesday program held in the “Centenario” campus.
The event stressed the importance of art in society. Gabriel Gallardo, Director of Arts and Culture, received a tribute on behalf of the Prefect of Guayas, Marcela Aguiñaga, who stressed the institutional commitment to promoting culture.
“Today we played classical and popular music like boleros, cumbias, and music from the past, so the audience could dance and enjoy the show with us,” said Diana Alvarado, the orchestra's flutist.
For the musicians, this concert represented more than just a presentation; it was a message of inspiration. “I feel happy to share art and music because it allows us to unite as a society and separates young people from bad things and habits,” said Jesús Anchundia, violinist. Liss Campos, musical director, stressed the importance of young people spending their time in productive activities: “Music develops their values and intellectual capacity.”
