The mechanical engineering undergraduate program in our branch campus in Cuenca presented a competition where students from different semesters presented several projects through zoom. 

Fernando Moscoso, vice president of the university's campus in Cuenca, congratulated everyone for taking part in the competition and demonstrating what they have worked on during this semester.

Jorge Fajardo, director of the mechanical engineering program, stated that the aim of the competition was to encourage students to conduct research, to maintain the tradition of this competition and to present what students have worked on during the semester. 

The best projects were: 

- Cold storage room for meat. Presented by Esteban Palacios and Oswaldo Rodríguez. 

- Van for the transportation of cold food. By Jonathan Benavides, Bryan Cabrera, Jocelyne Caivinagua and Luis Ríos 

- Steam conditioning by means of a desuperheater. By Pablo Faicán, Pablo Jaramillo, José Matute, Edgar Uzhca and Macarena Serrano. 

- Design and control of a robotic arm. By Ismael Jara and Alfredo Lituma

- Airflow modeling through an aircraft wing profile. By Joaquin Crespo

- Design and control of a robotic hand. By Vinicio Deleg, Paúl López and Marcelo Macao.
