The agriculture program addresses agriculture from a new perspective, it educates students to become professionals who are able to face problems in a scientific, ethical, social and critical manner by applying sustainable methods and technologies to produce food while respecting the environment and people’s health.

Occupational Outlook
An agricultural graduate understands the physical, chemical and microbiological bases of the environment, as well as the biology of the physiological functioning of plants and animals, which allows him/her to optimize nutrition, health, management and genetics. Thus, obtaining safe and nutritious food in an environmentally friendly, economic and socially sustainable manner, as well as permanently caring for public health.
Through the collection, analysis, interpretation and evaluation of date, with the use of the scientific method, an agricultural graduate is able to suggest experimental processes to find reliable conclusions aimed at solving problems in the agricultural sector.
He/she has technical-scientific knowledge in plant breeding, zootechnics, environmental management and projects, which allows him/her to diagnose, design, execute and evaluate investment proposals in the agricultural sector.
He/she has respect for diversity, is guided by ethical principles, defends rights, values the interrelation between science, technology and society and acts with social and environmental responsibility.
