The Civil Engineering undergraduate program educates professionals who are capable of planning, designing, building, overseeing and supervising civil works projects such as structures, roads, sanitary sewers, irrigation systems which are aligned to national and international quality standards. They have a complete base of technical and scientific knowledge supported by a humanistic, ethical and social responsibility approach.

A civil engineer can work in public and private institutions; they are able to plan, design and build road infrastructure, urban and rural infrastructure and health infrastructure. They can also conduct research and technological innovation for the production of new materials and construction models that lead to a better optimization of natural and energy resources, which can lead to a change of the country's production model.
