On the 23rd and 24th of April the university held Meetings on University Inclusion which were organized by the student services department in Quito along with Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) and Escuela Politécnica Nacional (EPN). The aim of the meetings was to disseminate and promote the application of inclusion policies in higher education institutions. 

During the first meeting, UPS professor Miriam Gallegos spoke about the challenges of university inclusion. Maria Jose Boada said the student services department, the UNESCO chairs program and the Psychology Center are bodies in the university that can determine suitable strategies for people with catastrophic diseases", she said.

Elisa Espinosa from PUCE presented the topic: "Inclusive education in the university community". Sebastian Granda spoke about UPS's experience and students who come from indigenous communities. Psychology student Javier Mantipia, who is from Bombaiza in the Amazon, talked about his process of being incorporating to the university and his experience in the university's residence. 

On the second of the meetings, Paz Guarderas and Gino Grondona conducted the forum "How do we understand the topic of inclusion". Daniela Llanos spoke about urban cultures and other diversities. Paz Guarderas considers the university as a system that works in a balanced manner. 

There was also a workshop to create awareness on blindness, deafness and learning problems.
