UPS professor participated in an International SCOPUS Congress

From September 9th to 11th, UPS professor and director of the CIVABI research center (research and development of sciences applied to biological resources) Tania Mosquera took part in the XXIV Congress on Ethnomedicine (SILAE) and the II International Congress on Medicine and presented research projects on natural resources which were carried out at UPS. The papers will be published by the end of this year in Pharmacologyonline magazine ISSN 1827-8620, indexed by Chemical Abstracts, SCOPUS, EMBASE, Google, Google Scholar, DOAJ, Genamics JournalSeek, Scirus and INDEX COPERNICUS.
The first paper was written entirely by Tatiana Mosquera, while the second was written along with Paco Noriega and Maria Elena Maldonado, professors with extensive experience in this field.
Over 200 participants from 18 countries attended the congress, which took place in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic). One of the most prominent scientists who attended the congress was 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry winner, Professor Aaron Ciehanover.
This event gave UPS the possibility to have agreements with Science Societies, Government agencies, universities and NGOs which pursue similar goals. The agreements would allow an exchange program for researchers from different countries.
During the congress they were also able to strengthen cooperation agreements of the Latin American Society of Phytomedicine, which will allow professionals in this field to create a referential framework.
