UPS-Cuenca professor Edgar Gordillo took part in the 8th World Conference on Educational Sciences- WCES, which was held in Spain, and presented his paper titled "Modelo educativo para la inclusión socio-productiva de jóvenes vulnerables: caso de la Fundación Salesiana PACES en la ciudad de Cuenca-Ecuador". The article was co-written by UPS-Quito professor Viviana Montalvo and Ignacio de los Rios from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Viviana Montalvo was in charge of presenting the research during this course.

The conference was organized by several institutions such as Global educación especial, la Asociación psicológica de servicios; Asociación de humanos, ciencia, natural, educación y tecnología; Centro de investigación y formación académica del mundo.

The paper written by Professor Gordillo is part of the research he is conducting for his thesis in order to end the master's degree program on Rural Development Projects and Sustainable Management. The paper will be published in the conference memoirs and indexed in SCOPUS, EBSCO, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index – CPCI (ISI Web of Science).
