The university's communication major in Cuenca held a workshop titled "Diversity, creativity and innovation" which was led by Noemi Bottasso, environmental engineering professor, and Jazmin Cazón, an Argentinean specialist in psychodrama and art therapy.

During this event students were able to experience diversity through innovative activities where they themselves created their own experiences: building trust, sensory testing, role playing real life situations and talks where students freely gave their opinions on several topics.

According to student Vladimir Tamayo, "these events help improve understanding between students and professors, it creates companionship which help our major and the university grow. 
To end the workshop, UPS President Javier Herran shared his thoughts on the role a communicator plays in today's society, "Remember communicators are responsible for understanding and explaining the differences which arise from living among several cultures", he said.

Gioconda Beltran, director of the communication faculty, was pleased with this event and said there will be an event like this every month.
