In order to foster a time to reflect and celebrate Christian faith, "El Giron" campus in Quito celebrated mass to begin the new academic period and start off on the right track. Mass was attended by professors, students and staff.

The religious ceremonies were organized by the university pastoral department and presided by Jaime Chela who encouraged students to develop their skills and use them to assist others. "Let's work on common good and build a fairer and more respectable world.

Jose Juncosa, vice president of UPS's branch campus in Quito, spoke to students and asked them to be more spiritual and take advantage what the university has for them.
