Members of the students' federation (FEUPS) in Guayaquil, led by Julia Dominguez Rojas held a quick sports tournament for girls on July 16th which they called "FEUPS DIVA 2016".
The event was held in the university's sports facilities where students played soccer, basketball and also did swimming, the aim was to encourage girls to take part in sports. "The commitment of the new FEUPS is to have events where students can participate and show their skills", said Josue Rivera, president of FEUPS. 

There were 6 teams made up by 10 students that took part in this quick tournament; the champions were "La Banda de Bellotas", runners up "Las Vengadoras". "FEUPS invites students to take part in new coming events", said Oswaldo Calle, coordinator of FEUPS.

FEUPS-Guayaquil is currently organizing the "Copa Bosco" tournament that will take place next month. The aim is to get students from all majors to participate in several sports competitions. "This is a great opportunity for students to show their sports skills and brotherhood, just like Don Bosco taught us", said Oswaldo Calle.
