The second phase of the Project "Literatura en movimiento" or literature in movement in charge of Professor Augusto Rodriguez is underway. The aim of the project is to teach high school students how to write poems, stories, and news reports, awaken their creativity, their imagination and improve their penmanship, spelling, and syntax.

Social communication students are working with students from these two high schools in Guayaquil: COLEGIO FISCAL MODESTO CHÁVEZ FRANCO and COLEGIO FISCAL PABLO HANNIBAL VELA. Besides helping students improve their academic skills they are gaining professional experience.

Professor Rodriguez said "the second phase of this Project follows the same framework as the first but we want to go beyond the first phase. We will go to more high schools and use all the experience we have gained. We want to change people's perception about literature, and show them that it is not boring or unappealing, and help them see the world from a different perspective which will hopefully make their lives better"
