ELLA SED encourages women to take part in entrepreneurship
ELLA SED, an entrepreneurship group, held a talk titled "Women and entrepreneurship" which was aimed at increasing the number of women who take part in the university's Coworking area in Guayaquil.
The talk was led by Ana Oñate, director of the Intercultural observatory of communities and nationalities; Bianca Benavides, general administrator of Lideres; Laura Caicedo, representative of Energy Max; Victoria Izquieta and Cristina Carrasco, representatives of ELLA SED.
The talk started with a motivational video which encouraged women to get involved in entrepreneurship. "We want people to have a good impression of us, that women take action and integrate this area", said Victoria Izquieta.
Two of the topics during this talk were: "The role of women in society" and "Entrepreneurship projects". For Belen Soriano, coordinator of Coworking nationwide, this allows students and professionals to share their knowledge with the overall community. "It gives students the opportunity to feel like professionals while they are still students", she said.
