190 students successfully graduated in UPS- Quito

On May 12th and 13th, the university's branch in Quito held yet another graduation ceremony for 190 graduates. The ceremony was presided by UPS-Quito Vice President Jose Juncosa, the UPS-Quito academic coordinator Patricio Benavides and several faculty directors.

In Quito's "Sur" campus students who majored in computer engineering, electronic engineering, civil engineering and environmental engineering were awarded their degree. While in Quito's "Giron" campus psychology, pedagogy, philosophy, business, communication, sustainable development, accounting, biotechnology, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering students earned their degree. 

Jose Juncosa asked the new professionals to continue being sensitive people so that they can value kindness, wisdom and prudence in people. "The degree you have been awarded comes from a university that seeks to be better and respected every single day, a university that talks equally and wishes to be different", he said.

Patsy Prieto, director of the computer engineering faculty, and Father Romulo Sanmartin, director of the Philosophy and Pedagogy faculty, gave a speech, while Daisy Samanate, who majored in electronic engineering, and Roya Falatoozadeh, who majored in Pedagogy, had the best grade point average and gave a speech on behalf of the new graduates. 

Emilia Lucía Ramírez, Alejandra Constante and María Soledad Soto received a special competencies certificate from the University's Salesian Groups Association for having developed skills in social responsibility, leadership and communication during their education at the university.
