On January 24th and 25th the university's branch campus in Cuenca held four graduation ceremonies for 196 new professionals who majored in: Business administration, environmental engineering, automotive engineering, biotechnology, accounting, communication, physical education, electronics, electrical engineering, veterinary medicine, occupational psychology and computing. There were also 4 people with a master's degree in business administration and 6 in Integrated Systems of quality, environment and safety management.

The ceremonies were presided by the general academic vice president, Luis Tobar Pesantez, the vice president of the university's branch in Cuenca, Cesar Vasquez and faculty directors.
Luis Tobar said: "Based on the education and the values you have received, serve society without expecting anything in return. Work professionally, treat people with respect and appreciation, and break the barriers of prejudice and discrimination. As a result, we will have a fairer and more peaceful society with an appropriate distribution of wealth."

Cesar Vasquez congratulated the new professionals and acknowledged their effort throughout their studies, which should make them proud now that they have reached their goal. "I wish you lots of success in the professional field", he said.

Anabel Pacurucu, Darwin Sumba, Nancy Macas and Fernando Yuquilima spoke on behalf of the graduates during each one of the ceremonies. There were musical performances by Emilio Morocho (piano) and Tamara Arízaga (flute).
