208 new graduates in Quito

On June 23rd, 208 students graduated from the university's branch in Quito; there are now 208 new professionals in psychology, pedagogy, philosophy and pedagogy, business administration, communication, sustainable development, accounting, intercultural education and natural resources biotechnology.

The ceremony was presided by UPS president Javier Herran, the university's vice president in Quito Jose Juncosa, and the academic coordinator Patricio Benavides. During his speech, Jose Juncosa told the new professionals to continue being sensitive and value kindness, wisdom and prudence in people. "Don't forget you are debt with all those people who made your studies possible and with society which expects great contributions from you", he said.

Paz Guarderas spoke about professional ethics, which is based on honesty, active listening, clear limits, directness, recognizing one's own mistakes and success. 

The University President said "the degree you're getting today does not only accredit new knowledge, it also accredits   person educated with the salesian system. As a university, we are pleased with your graduation, but above all its human quality and awareness of service."

Patricia Sanchez spoke on behalf of all students as she had the highest grade point average. Esteban Sacoto was awarded a certificate for having developed social responsibility, inclusion, leadership and communication skills during his years in the university and the Utopia salesian group.
