The Sport Pedagogy undergraduate program in our branch campus in Cuenca is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary of serving education and graduating many students who are currently outstanding professionals.

The job of educating integral professionals, academically and humanly speaking, is in charge of highly qualified professors, for example Julio Chuqui. Professor Chuqui has undoubtedly become an instructor of champions, in the 2019 Panamerican games held in Peru his students, Johana Ordoñez and Daniel Pintado, won a gold medal in the 50km and 20km walk race. As well as Darwin Castro who won gold medal in the Parapan American Games in the 5000 meter run.

For the university it is fundamental to have professors who are well trained and competent in their area as well as having professional vocation necessary to be a salesian professor.

The Sport Pedagogy undergraduate program educates students to have innovative knowledge, to be ethical and have critical capabilities that will help change reality.

Franklin Ramon, director of the Sport Pedagogy undergraduate program, explained that two years ago this program was called physical education. The program was created because intellectual activities should be accompanied by physical activity.
