Thirty three students from the university's three branch campuses participated in the second part of the Mentoring and Management School for Change that was held in "El Giron" campus from the 25th to the 27th of August. This activity was organized by UPS's Research Department and the aim was to develop people's skills in entrepreneurship with a salesian identity.

Students camped in building B of "El Giron" campus while being trained on the following topics: business models, entrepreneurship methodology, entrepreneurship in Ecuador and Latin America, managing a team, collaborative platforms, growth and acceleration of Startups.
The event was attended by Pedro Varas, founder and CEO of Founderlist de Chile; Edward Ramírez, founder and president of Partners for Startups de Colombia; Francisco Abad, director of Hult Prize Ecuador, Bence Mátyás from StartUPS Ecuador; Fabián Bermeo, director of INTEGRAR, and other speakers.

The School is based on three modules of 25 hours each. The first was in Guayaquil from August 11 to 13 with the participation of 39 students who focused on the development of personal and affective competences. The topics were networks and connectivity, creativity, leadership and service, communication, resilience and prevention.

The results obtained in these two meetings have been the integration and trust between the directors of the coworking spaces, the strengthening of the commitment of the participants with the StartUPS project and the reactivation of these spaces in the university branches. "To manage the coworking spaces we need to be people with charisma, creative, leaders, but above all to work as a team because when we work together, we all grow," says student Mateo Astudillo.

The third and final module will be on planning, coworking and mini-bootcamps; these will be held in the city of Cuenca from 15 to 17 September. This will conclude the school of entrepreneurship based training and experiential learning that promotes changes at the academic, affective, cognitive, behavioral and attitudinal levels
