The 3rd Meeting for Rectors and academic coordinators of Catholic Universities in Latin America and the Carribean, titled “Sharing experiences for quality higher education”, will take place from the 15th to the 17th of March. 

Juan Cardenas, Rector of Universidad Politecnica Salesiana, and Angela Flores, academic coordinator, attended the event and presented the topic “Digital transformation in Universidad Politecnica Salesiana” to discuss processes, products and services that have had a positive impact on students.

The meeting, which takes place at Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL), is being attended by representatives from Catholic universities from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Participants will reflect on the current situation of higher education institutions in the region and discuss their current challenges in order to find opportunities that will improve students’ learning process. 

During the meeting, there will also be other conferences based on the main topics: Achievements of academia regarding current challenges and management of higher education in the current economic and political context. 

The aim of the meeting is to encourage integration among universities and work together on plans, programs and strategies to create new ways of education, cooperation and connection between universities.
