The first ceremony was led by the university's general vice president Luis Tobar Pesantez who congratulated the new professionals and encouraged them to always search for the common good. Lorena Cañizares, director of the Psychology faculty, spoke at the second ceremony, and said: "Graduation means much more than attending a ceremony to receive a physical document that enables your professional work for society, graduation is looking ahead and observing the huge open door with the responsibility to implement all that has been learned". The oath was in charge of the acting vice president in Cuenca, Wilson Quintuña Padilla, in the two ceremonies.

The students with the best grade point average were responsible for giving a speech on behalf of their classmates. In the first ceremony, Amalia Sumba said that graduation marks a new stage in her life. During the second ceremony, Estefania Tello said "the incorrect will always be easier than the correct but nothing compares to having reached your goals with your own effort"

Pablo Andrés Vásquez and Tamara Altamirano, social communication students, were in charge of the music performance.
