UniSales, located in Vitoria, Brazil; held the 9th Higher Education Salesian Institutions (IUS) Conference which gathered 81salesians (councilors, university presidents, salesian inspectors and academic directors).

Father Oscar Lozano stressed that “the conference enables IUS to analyze and adapt to the new policies, programs and guidelines issued by 8th World IUS Assembly which was held in Rome in January 2022. This conference is fundamental in order to implement new policies for the 2022 – 2026 period.

Father Fransisco Sánchez, Inspector of Salesians in Ecuador; Father Juan Cardenas, President of Universidad Politecnica Salesiana (UPS); Fernando Pesantez, general vicepresident of UPS; Pablo Farfán, Director of UNADEDVI; Germán Parra, Head of evaluation and accreditation; and Walter Marquez, Director of the digital businesses undergraduate program, attended the Conference. 

At the end of the conference, participants had approved new plans, signed the inclusion of new institutions into the network and elected the venue for the next IUS Conference. All the plans are aimed at improving university services.
Finally, Monsignor Frei Dario Campos, archbishop of Vitoria, celebrated mass with all the IUS representatives.
