More than 50 students who are part of the salesian group “Voluntarios en Acción” from our branch campus in Guayaquil took part in a clean up day at the beach in order to create awareness on the importance of caring for the environment.

Jefferson Loor, coordinator of the group, said that their next activities will be aimed at caring for children, the elderly and people with disabilities. “We’ll work with people through recreational activities and encourage human values in order to have an appropriate living environment.  

The group participated in a campaign organized by the environmental engineering undergraduate program in order to support social and productive development and commemorate a week dedicated to caring for the environment.

Professor Johan Mendez, coordinator of the group, explained that the group will continue working on several areas such as animal wellbeing and adoption campaigns for dogs and cats.
