The university's Abya Yala publishing house presented its academic production of refereed journals and indexed journals for the last three years during the First Ibero American University Book Fair held in Medellin, Colombia.

The event was part of the Book and Culture Festival whose aim was to learn more about the work being carried out in higher education institutions in order to encourage ideas. Over 80 publishing houses from Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Chile and Colombia attended the Fair.

Some of the books presented in this fair, which was held from the 11th to the 20th of September, were about literature studies, communication, history, arts, philosophy and others. This year's fair was organized by Siglo del Hombre Editores de Bogotá.
