Universidad Politecnica Salesiana and the Prefecture of Guayas signed an agreement that will enable students to carry out internships in the social program called “Las Manzanas del Cuidado”. The agreement also set the stage for future projects that will benefit society. 

The ceremony was presided by UPS president Juan Cardenas and the prefect of Guayas Marcela Aguiñaga. Both agree on the importance of this partnership in order to strengthen education, research and social service. 

 
This agreement not only opens new academic and professional opportunities for students, but also encourages entrepreneurship and innovation in the region. Through academic and professional exchange programs, we seek to improve people’s quality of life, especially in the most neglected areas. 

Some of the objectives of the agreement are the promotion of active citizenship and the empowerment of civil society, which invites community members to participate in the planning and execution of projects that respond to their specific needs. Additionally, this agreement plans the implementation of sustainability initiatives that strengthen the Guayas’ society and economy, ensuring a long-term collaboration that will benefit future generations.

This agreement demonstrates the commitment of both institutions for a comprehensive development of the province, it will not only impact the academia, but also the social well-being and economic growth of the region.
