An agreement to strengthen education and research

The community engagement department in our branch campus in Guayaquil signed a cooperation agreement with the “Instituto Superior Tecnológico Babahoyo” in order to work together in several areas such as academia, student mobility, scientific production, and others, in order to strengthen students’, professors’ and researchers’ skills.
Both institutions will develop joint projects such as conferences, seminars, workshops and academic meetings, the results of which will be shared and disseminated for the benefit of the academic community and society. Mónica Mármol, director of the community engagement department, said that the agreement will help the professional development of teachers, "the agreement seeks to strengthen the cognitive abilities of teachers from both organizations and facilitate the organization of congresses and events.”
Javier Segovia, principal of “Instituto Superior Tecnológico Babahoyo”, explained the benefits of the agreement for both organizations, “We can work and grow together through research, community engagement and academic projects. From the university’s experience in community engagement, we can put something similar into practice,” said Segovia.
Mobility and exchange will be promoted for teachers, researchers and students. This opportunity will allow members of both institutions to broaden their horizons, gain new perspectives, and enrich their academic experience.
