Biotechnology students presented academic and social projects
Last February 13th, Biotechnology students from UPS-Quito held an event which allowed them to promote products and services that demonstrated their commitment with research and society.
During the event there was also a forum where researchers talked about advancements in medicine, agriculture, and the food industry, and students offered an open house where they presented their research results.
Some of the projects were plaque bacteria revealer for children made from strawberry, and blackberry; essential oils obtained through household methods; natural makeup products; fruit dehydration; they presented results from research on eating disorders in teenagers in Quito and biotechnology in dairy and flower industries.
The biotechnology faculty director, professors Teresa Carbonell and Catya Torres showed all their support throughout the events. All the projects and results can be found in biotechnology repository.
