The electronic engineering major at UPS-Guayaquil presented the book "Introducción al Cálculo Diferencial con Geometría Analítica ("Introduction to Differential Calculus with Analytic Geometry") written by professor Victor Huilcapi.

The aim of this book, which is divided into 5 chapters, is to strengthen electronic engineering students' knowledge in Differential Calculus and Analytic Geometry. "The book will not only help students understand these topics, it will also create awareness of mathematical sciences" said professor Victor Huilcapi.

This first edition presents studies about the basics of analytic geometry in the plane: conic and straight sections, functions of a real variable, including the Quadratic, The limits and derivations of polynomial functions, trigonometric, exponential, logarithmic and others. The text ends with the applications of derivatives solving exercises using minimum and maximum optimization.
