Communication week at UPS-Guayaquil

The social communication major at UPS-Guayaquil held the event entitled "Communication week"; one of the most relevant activities during semester 46 since it created a time for dialogue, teaching, learning and experiences through several activities organized within different subjects as a result of the students' learning process in the classroom.
UPS president Javier Herran, UPS-Guayaquil Vice President Andres Bayolo and the social communication director Katiusca Flores, attended the opening ceremony and congratulated professors and students for their effort in holding this type of event which helps students learn more about journalism outside their classrooms.
"Communication week" began on August 24th with a meeting between social communication majors from Ecuadorian universities, where professors and students from research groups shared their experiences in the professional field.
Another event was the II Symposium on Communication, where the limitations and obligations implicit in the Communications Law were analyzed. The event was attended by the following communicators who shared their views on this controversial issue: Patricio Barriga, Director of CORDICOM; Luiggi Guerrón, Mauricio Ceballos, journalists from TC TV; Maritza Carvajal, Professor at UCSG ; Kleber Loor , Dean at FACSO ; and Rolando Panchana , former Governor of Guayas.
The student dialogue " Youth Participation : New Theories and Democracy," was another of the scheduled talks that took place on Wednesday 26 August , student representatives from various universities participated and shared their knowledge and experiences in the field of democracy and new communication tools.
Another event that took place was the Talk on "Investigative Journalism and Communication in Ecuador " professionals from the TV program titled "Vision 360 " that airs on Ecuavisa were part of this talk: The General Director, Allan Panchana and his news team : Hernán Higuera , Carolina Mella , and Thomas Ciuffardi .
The "Expo Communication" was held on Thursday August 27, here students showed different levels of knowledge they have acquired in the classroom, in photography, radio and television production. In addition to micro theater, dance, painting, etc.
Communication Week ended on Friday, August 28 with the artistic event "Talent Night", where students showed their skills as musicians, actors, performers and others.
