Conference: “Introduction to dental photography”
Conference: “Introduction to dental photography”

The dentistry undergraduate program in our branch campus in Guayaquil held the conference: “Introduction to dental photography”, led by Dr. Edgar Tinoco.
Intraoral photographs, taken inside the patient's mouth, offer a detailed look at the soft and hard tissues, as well as the relationships between them. Dr. Tinoco spoke about his experience classifying these photographs into three categories: frontal, lateral and occlusal.
During the conference, they discussed theoretical and practical aspects related to the correct execution of a dental photograph, its usefulness and the ideal configuration to obtain accurate results. The director of the dentistry undergraduate program, Karol Chávez, said: "These conferences prepare our students to participate in conferences and competitions. It is essential that they have suitable documentation of clinical cases, intraoral photography is essential.
The conference provided students with important knowledge for their academic training and professional development. Milena Espinoza, Dentistry student, said: "This talk will be of great help to us in our dental practices. The doctor gave us information about the types of lenses and ideal apertures for dental photographs."
Dental photography not only adds value to the diagnosis, but also facilitates monitoring of clinical cases. It stands out as an effective tool that allows dentists to document their work and communicate effectively with the dental laboratory and patients.
