Coordinators and facilitators of the university’s Salesian groups (knows as Salesian University Associationism) took part in several talks and recreational activities in order to strengthen their salesian identity and the work they carry out with student in the salesian groups.

The aim of the Salesian groups (knows as Salesian University Associationism), which have first met the requirements established by the university board, is to create spaces where students can actively participate in different areas.

Raul Conza, director of the pastoral department in our branch campus in Guayaquil, explained the importance of taking part in the meetings, “Salesian University Associationism is an opportunity for students to be protagonists; these events enable them to come up with proposals that will benefit the university community”, he said.

Coordinators of the cultural, communication, sports, political and pastoral groups presented ideas and projects. Paula Maridueña, coordinator of the group “Educora” said “it has been great to be here and meet people from other groups. This will allow us to work together and provide new ideas that will benefit the university community”.

The meeting strengthened students’ spirit of service which allows them to create new projects for the benefit of the university community and society in general. Joseph Ávila Holguín, coordinator of Utopia Magazine, said that these activities allow synergy between groups that have similar objectives. "This event allowed members of different groups to meet and work together on continuous improvement and offer new options for our work,” said Ávila
