Investigaciones y Proyectos desarrollados por la UPS son destacados por Medios de Comunicación

David Valencia and Luis Gonzalez, electronic and systems engineering students at Universidad Politécnica Salesiana- Cuenca, got together and built SAM in order to help the elderly in their daily activities. The articles "SAM se construyó para ayudar al adulto mayor" (SAM was built to help the elderly) from "el comercio" newspaper, or "El ingenio cuencano se refleja en dos proyectos" (The inventiveness of Cuencanos is displayed in two projects) from "hoy" newspaper tell the story.

Another research project conducted by Universidad Politécnica Salesiana- Guayaquil students titled "Biodegradable plastic from banana peel" is part of the Banco de Ideas program created by Senescyt to promote research in Ecuador.
