The early and basic education undergraduate programs in our branch campus in Cuenca organized a special program to celebrate children’s day. The program was titled “Alas de libertad” (wings of freedom); the aim was to celebrate and create awareness on children’s rights. Boys and girls from different schools in Cuenca attended the university theater for the event. 

There were several presentations such as a choreography presented by Fundación Salesiana PACES, cheerleaders from Unidad Educativa San Fransisco de Sales, snow white and the seven dwarfs presented by ECI ABC and dancing presented by Unidad Educativa Eugenio Espejo. When leaving the theater children had their faces painted. 

 
The main objective of this celebration was to raise awareness in the community about the fundamental rights of boys and girls, promoting equality, inclusion and respect for diversity.

 
We create an opportunity for reflection and celebration where boys and girls feel empowered to express their opinions, develop their creativity and be active agents of change in the construction of a more just and equitable world for all.
