The basic and early education undergraduate programs, along with the Educora group, held a series of activities to commemorate children’s day.

Paula Maridueña Loor, student majoring in basic education, said “we applied things we have learned, such as fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, through activities, games and paintings”.

Susana Pombo, director of the education undergraduate programs, said: “we celebrated children’s day with different activities during the whole week. Students planned all the activities for children of nearby communities, which allowed them to apply their knowledge in real life settings”.

There was also a talk titled “Building a happy childhood” aimed at strengthening teaching skills and soft skills. The activities helped stress the university’s commitment to building a better future for kids, and it enables students to combine theory and practice.
