After five months of hard work, our branch campus in Guayaquil ended the vaccination process against Covid 19. The process started on April 6th and our branch campus was one of the 28 places assigned by the Ministry of Public health and by September 10th, almost 2 million people had been vaccinated.

During the vaccination process, the university worked to provide all the facilities needed for users and medical staff in order to have an optimal organization. Spaces were designated for registration, taking vital signs, vaccination and post-vaccination; while, members of the Armed Forces safeguarded the vaccines and made sure the process was carried out carefully and normally.

The vaccination process was coordinated by Daniela Molina from the Municipality of Guayaquil, Dr. Natali Ortega, doctor in charge of the Municipality and Dr. Lola Cruz from the Ministry of Public Health.

On May 22, the vice president of our branch campus in Guayaquil, Raúl Álvarez, received an acknowledgment from the Ministry of Public Health that acknowledges the work and permanent support of UPS to favor the Public Health System of Ecuador against COVID-19.

David Mora, Director of Administration and Inventories, thanked everyone who helped make the vaccination process possible, both in logistics and coordination and to the Information Technology staff that provided the infrastructure of data and internet.
