Twenty four students majoring in accounting and members of the finance club in our branch campus in Cuenca received their certificates for successfully finishing the training program on financial education with the Sparkassenstiftung foundation (Germany).

The aim of the program was to strengthen knowledge about different teaching – learning theories, the role of facilitators, ways to strengthen their skills and techniques that allow people to better understand and acquire new information. 

Jorge Garcia, director of the accounting undergraduate program, was very pleased with the results. The modules were: Savings, my future, my home and my money, financial plan, the good use of credits, my own business.

"It is satisfying to have had this experience with Universidad Politecnica Salesiana and work with students majoring in accounting so they can learn more about current topics which will help in their professional training", said Rodolfo Monsbeger, director of the Sparkassenstiftung  Foundation project in Ecuador

Santiago Vanegas, a student and the coordinator of the finance club, thanked officials of the university and Sparkassenstiftung Foundation and said everything they have learned will be very useful.
