UPS-Cuenca held a fire drill in its university campus to check just how fast and how prepared professors, students, staff and everyone at the university is in reacting to this type of emergency. 

The drill was held as planned as everyone followed the security protocols established by UPS. There were several committees for the drill and each one helped in taking care of students and teachers safety. All students were evacuated and taken to the university's soccer field. 

The Cuenca Fire department and the Municipality's Transport and Mobility Department also helped during the drill. The organizers said they spotted certain weaknesses during the drill which they will detail in a report. The strengths were that all the brigades were committed to helping the institution. 

They said there will be future events like these and that the most important thing about having these drills is to develop a culture of prevention.
