The postgraduate programs department, the master’s degree in automotive engineering and the master’s degree in physical education held free talks on “management of automobile businesses and inventory management” and “virtual reality in soccer player’s psychological training”; 280 people took part in the talks.

 

Jorge Fajardo, director of the master’s degree in automotive engineering, thanked everyone for taking part in the talks. Santiago Vela, general manager of Importadora Tomebamba, talked about his experience in logistics and inventories of spare parts.

 

Esteban Cuenca, general manager of Toyota Services at Importadora Tomebamba, spoke about the strategies they used to face the pandemic which had a big impact in the automobile industry and forced companies to rethink their strategies. 
 

Mario Alvarez, director of the master’s degree in physical education, presented the talk on “virtual reality in soccer player’s psychological training” along with the speaker Ricardo de la Vega Marcos, a specialist in physical education, who stressed the importance of carrying out research along with Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM) which is a benchmark in Spain. 
 

During the webinar participants learned about the methods used with players to improve their performance. He explained how virtual reality can focus on athletes’ emotions and help them adapt to new processes.  

 

The university is currently offering both the master’s degree in automotive engineering and the master’s degree in physical education. Classes begin on May 5th. For more information: posgrados.ups.edu.ec
