The university's branch campus in Guayaquil held a graduation ceremony for 206 students who successfully ended their studies in accounting, business administration, computing, industrial engineering, electronic and automation engineering, electricity and communication. 

The ceremony was attended by Andres Bayolo, vice president of the university's branch campus in Guayaquil; Jaime Zapata, academic coordinator; Pablo Pérez, research coordinator; and the directors of the undergraduate programs. "Congratulations to all the new professionals who are graduating today, the aim of salesian education is not only academic but human. As Don Bosco said educate people to be good Christians and honest citizens", said Andres Bayolo.  

Malena Echeverría spoke on behalf of her classmates – graduates, "many times we feel afraid and have doubts about our skills, but we must remember that success also comes after we have made mistakes. We must always thank UPS for being our home during all these years and providing us the necessary tools to face today's world". 

Daniel Villaroel, a graduate of accounting and auditing, stated "today we feel proud and successful, but success cannot only be measured by our academic achievements, it is about our capability of being happy about who we are and what we do. Thank you professors and everyone in the university for your support…"
