Overcoming anxiety in times of Covid 19

Students from our branch campus in Cuenca who are majoring in psychology organized a talk on "Loneliness, depression and anxiety in times of Covid 19". The aim of the talk was to answer people's questions regarding emotional issues that may arise in times of crisis.

Friends and family are important because humans coexist with each other. However, people's personalities are different and we must learn how to deal with differences. Mental and physical activities are important to improve our state of mind. Alexandra Cordova, a psychologist, stated that a crisis can represent an opportunity to overcome an obstacle and prepare for a new beginning.

She gave some advice on what to do during the quarantine in order to overcome this situation; she said it is important to recognize our emotions and to be more concerned about ourselves and our personal care, keep in touch with family friends, entertain yourself by doing things you like and if you feel you cannot handle the anxiety, see a specialist.
