ICTs will improve students' learning process

The university and the school "Unidad Educativa Santa Mariana de Jesús" signed an interinstitutional cooperation agreement that will strengthen the learning process of boys and girls with the use of Information and Communication Technologies and intelligent systems in classrooms.

The school  will receive the support from students and professors of the computing and electronics majors, as well as from the Artificial intelligence and Assistive Technologies Research Group and the UNESCO chairs "Assistive technologies for inclusive education".

Cesar Vasquez, vice president of the university's campus in Cuenca, said the agreement will directly benefit students and professors from the university.

Gladys Aguilar, principal of the school, thanked students and professors from the University for carrying out this project of academic development for boys and girls.

Students Martha Matute, Carlos Contreras and Efrén Lema, led by their professor Vladimir Robles, presented a robot assistant and showed how it works.
