The university has just inaugurated a new campus in the city of Macas, located in the province of Morona Santiago. In 1893 salesian missionaries arrived to Macas, therefore the opening of this campus marks an important milestone. 

The ceremony was attended by Father Marcelo Farfan, inspector of salesians in Ecuador; Father Juan Cardenas, president of Universidad Politecnica Salesiana; university officials and guests. 

They spoke about the importance of the new campus, which represents a fundamental expansion for the university. The new campus will provide our educational services and study programs, it will generate new opportunities for the development and education of young people.

For the first time, the university’s superior council meeting was held in the city of Macas; it was presided by our university president and the inspector of salesians in Ecuador, as well as other university officials. During the meeting, they discussed different perspectives on improving education and strengthening the university’s commitment with the community. 

Through innovative initiatives and quality educational programs, the university seeks not only to educate highly trained professionals, but also to actively contribute to the growth and well-being of society as a whole.
