The communication undergraduate program in our three branch campuses in Cuenca, Guayaquil and Quito, GAMELAB-UPS and the Communication, Education and Environment Research Group in our branch campus in Cuenca calls for papers for the International Conference on Communication and Applied Technologies (ICOMTA 2022).

Papers can be written in English, Spanish or Portuguese. Papers that are accepted will be published by Springer and indexed to Scopus if papers are in English; by Grupo Editorial Tirant Lo Blanch if they are written in Spanish.

The Conference will be held in our university’s branch campus in Cuenca from the 7th to the 9th of September; it will be hybrid event.

•     Communication and digital processes
•     Software, big data, data mining, intelligent systems
•    Communication, health, politics and technology. Misleading information in times of covid
•    Automation, bots and algorithms
•    Experiences of verification of facts in Europe and Latin America at the service of journalism: compared perspective
•    Analysis of language, content and artificial intelligence
•    Freedom of speech, ethics and transparency in digital society
•    Social networks 
•    Journalism, communication, advertising, public relations, political sciences, social and human sciences and information and communication technologies 


International speakers will lead several workshops on:

1.    Technologies for health
2.    Persuasion and creativity in videogames
3.    Technologies applied to the analysis and control of communication 

 

Important Dates:

•    Presentation of papers: April 25th, 2022

•    Notification of acceptance: May 31st, 2022

•    Registration of accepted papers and deadline to present final papers: June 17th, 2022

•    Conference: September 7th to 9th, 2022
