To provide a deeper and global perspective of the professional world, some of the subjects in the university's master's degree programs in its three branches, Cuenca, Guayaquil and Quito, are being taught by international professors.

The MBA, cultural management and special education programs currently have professors from Spain and Chile; they are providing students an external view of their professions.

César Serrano PHD., teaches "Marketing Management" in the MBA program, which deals with aspects related to decision-making, from research to information processing and facilitates the correct application of strategies related to the product, price and communication on various platforms.

"The university is focused on practical activities, on professional training of its students and studying the MBA here is very important because it specializes students in all topics related to business administration and therefore the training students receive is a solid education that they can then apply effectively in their professional development, "said Serrano.

In the Cultural Management master's degree program, the subject of "Cultural and Heritage Identity" is taught by Rafael Fernández Parada PHD., who will work on the identity fundamentals, how to approach and manage it, making reference to festivities, traditions that can be inventoried and cataloged from a holistic vision.

For Fernández, studying a postgraduate degree is the right opportunity to obtain new skills in professional practice, especially in the area of culture. "In the 21st century it is not enough to get a university degree either in Ecuador or Spain since the contents are limited, studying a postgraduate program allows us to acquire specific skills, this is important because this type of professionalizing skills is not acquired in undergraduate programs", he stated.

The subject of "Educational evaluation in multiple disability care" in the Master's degree on Special Education, is being taught by Chilean specialist Carolyn Sánchez. The subject, which is considered one of the most important in the program, allows students to obtain tools to evaluate the student in a more contextual situation, thinking about their needs and personal characteristics involving family and the community.

"This module enables students (who are professional teachers) to learn about new tools to understand their students and clearly have new strategies to develop work plans together with family and society," he said.

For Sánchez, to continue studying after finishing an undergraduate program is an opportunity to open new professional doors in other fields of work. "UPS is an institution that delivers values, thinks about its students and the needs of our community"
