UPS moves up in the WEBOMETRICS Ranking

UPS moved up 1286 positions, from 4609 to 3323, in the WEBOMETRICS ranking according to information released this month. It is currently ranked 12th among Ecuadorian universities and 270 in Latin America. 

According to WEBOMETRICS, the most relevant indicator is IMPACT and UPS has moved from position 6610 to 5592. However, OPENNESS is where the university has really shown progress, it moved from position 1604 to 316. In PRESENCE the university has slightly fallen from position 2322 to 2434, and in EXCELLENCE the university was rated pretty much the same way it was in December 2013.

The advancement the university has made is due to the publication of academic information (thesis, academic and scientific articles), the constant updating of digital repositories and the translation of the university’s web site into English.
