Since November, the pastoral department and the philosophy and poetry group in our branch campus in Guayaquil have been holding forums about movies for our students.

Johan Mendez, professor, said “this activity will help students learn more about a certain topic which is shown in the movie and then discuss it with experts. Veronica Yepez said “the activity enables students to openly talk about a topic as well as encourage them to read because then there will be a reading competition in the library. 

Carlos Chimborazo, psychologist, took part in the debate on the film titled “Hasta lo huesos” and talked about bulimia and interpersonal relationships. “Many of us don’t know the connection between a good diet and mental health, the way we eat is very important for the way we look. This movie explained it very well and it is necessary to discuss these topics in class”, he said.
